Educational Background

He completed his Medical degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Regenerative Medicine and Innovation Technology at King’s College London, graduating with First Class Honours. He went on to complete Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and the Dermatology Specialty Certificate Examination. He completed his training in general medicine across hospitals in London and Surrey and his dermatology training in Essex.

He has published widely, including in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and has presented his work at national and international dermatology meetings. His academic achievements have been recognised with prizes and awards from organisations including British Association of Dermatologists, Royal Society of Medicine, Alopecia UK and British Hair and Nail Society.

Dr Jakharia-Shah also has an academic interest in hair and scalp disorders. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the British Hair and Nail Society, where he helps coordinate complex hair and nail case discussions, contributes to patient and clinician education, and supports national educational activity in this specialist field.
